Welcome to Karuna Therapy Solutions.   Our mission is to assist our clients in the journey toward forgiveness, hope, and healing through counseling services for individuals and families, and consulting solutions for behavioral health agencies.

We are here to assist individuals and families recover from trauma, depression, and anxiety, and develop strategies to address and cope with grief, the emotional roller coaster of infertility and adoption, Post-Partum Depression, Bipolar Disorder, and PTSD.  Our staff has worked with a diverse population and customizes their approach to the needs of the client. Our extensive experience has prepared us to walk down the road toward recovery with all our clients, including adults and adolescents, the LGBTIQ+ community, those struggling with complex chronic medical issues including HIV, cancer, and chronic pain.  We also work with couples and families who are experiencing difficulties and need assistance navigating life and relationship challenges.

Dawn Ducote

Dawn is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ),  and Certified Correctional Health Professional (CCHP) and is versed in many interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF CBT), Dialectial Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and using Mindfulness and biofeedback.    Dawn is a proven leader with experience in delivering change in organizations through process improvement and data analysis.  She is forward thinking and results-focused.  As a social worker and quality healthcare professional, Dawn is passionate about providing patients and clients with innovative, patient-centered, and compassionate care through thoughtful and well-constructed systems of care.

Ashleigh Rakestraw

LCSW

Ashleigh is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a masters’s degree in social work from the University of Tennessee. In her approach with clients, she utilizes a variety of interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Crisis management with Solution Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and talk therapy. Ashleigh is passionate about providing a nonjudgmental, safe place for individuals seeking to find support through counseling. She believes in empowering individuals to proceed in their counseling journey at their own pace as she provides a supportive environment of mutual respect, empathy and compassionate care.

Dr. Lori Taunton

DPC / LPC 
Therapist

Lori is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Correctional Health Professional, holding a MS Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and a Doctorate Degree in Professional Counseling from Mississippi College. She has 9 years counseling experience and has worked with geriatric, adult and adolescent populations, including adolescents in a correctional setting. Lori is a person-centered therapist who focuses on unconditional acceptance and meeting clients where they are. Michelle de la Guardia

LMSW 
Therapist

Michelle is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with a master’s degree in social work from Columbia University. She has practiced as a family and child therapist in a wide range of clinical settings. Michelle pulls from her experience to ensure people are receiving quality services rooted in evidence based models. Some of the models she pulls from include: using Brief Strategic Family Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Child Parent Psychotherapy. Michelle individualizes treatment for each person and family. She works from a strengths based approach and works alongside each client to create new patterns of behaviors. As a social worker, Michelle is passionate about creating safe environments that encourage healing, growth and empower all individuals/families.

Chelsea Bailey

Chelsea is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with a master’s degree in social work from Middle Tennessee State University. She is trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Brainspotting. Chelsea takes an eclectic approach, integrating a variety of modalities, including behavioral therapies, inner parts work, and Motivational Interviewing. Chelsea works from a strengths-based perspective and provides a non-judgmental, compassionate environment for clients to explore their barriers and take steps toward healing.
